Byron is located on the west side of London and it's considered a very desirable and family oriented neigbourhood.
Originally called Westminster, the area was renamed Hall's Mills in 1845, and then finally Byron in 1857. The Byron area was first settled in 1800 and became a village in 1804. The village of Byron was annexed by the City of London in 1961.
To this day, many residents who love living in Byron refuse to call it anything but "Byron", but most people use the name as a point of reference within the City of London.
Several of Byron's streets were named after its earliest settlers... Walter Boler, John and William Griffith, John Stevens, Charles Montague, Cyrenius Hall, Henry Wickerson, J. Cornell, J. Reynolds, Kains brothers, and more.
Byron has a wonderful blend of older homes (many of which are on very large lots) as well as newer homes as the neighbourhood has grown. Properties in Byron typically sell quickly and tend to appreciate very well in market value.
